The intent of these scholarships is to support graduating high school seniors and spouses of members of any branch of the armed forces (Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, including dependents of Reservists or National Guard).

This scholarship is a merit scholarship and award amount is ranked upon candidates evaluation.
The only person who sees full applications is the Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Chairperson. When the application is received, the Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Chairperson reviews the application to ensure that it is complete and eligible for scholarship. The chairperson will then process the application for the Selection Committee to fully review.
The selection committee consists of Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club members that are not on the current board and do not have any affiliation to the person applying for the scholarship. The Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Board and Advisors ensure that all ranks and ethnicity are represented equally and take in consideration all grades, accomplishments, essay and recommendations.
The Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Chairperson then announces the recipients to the Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Board and Selection Committee for certification. The recipients name is only known by the Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Chairperson and Selection Committee until moment of certification. The Fort Sill Patriot Spouses’ Club Scholarship Board may not change anything.
This process protects applicants personal information and ensures there is no personal bias at any time during the process. After recipient enrollment is verified and checks are sent to the school, all paper records are disposed.
